I don’t have anything specific to write about today, but my brain runneth over with random thoughts. I spent last weekend in Tahoe at the Renaissance Faire they hold every year. It covers two weekends, so I am going back. I love the drive up. Once in the mountains, I had the unusual experience of driving head-on into a rainstorm while the sun was still shining. My mother says this weather means a witch is getting married. I know a few witches; most of them are already married. I wonder what happens when they get a divorce?
The rain hit my windshield in huge, fat drops that made me realize how grateful I was that I had a motel reservation…and that I need new wiper blades. I forgot my camera, though. Maybe this weekend I’ll capture some soggy faire photos.

The planting mania continues. I stole this little cutting from a planter in front of the building across the street from my office building. I have no idea what it is, but the flowers are pretty. I hope it grows.
My chocolate mint will soon be robust enough to move outside. It smells wonderful.
And I have started another caterpillar. This one is for Oliver, my friend Amy’s son. They are in Cleveland now, but will be back in California in July. What you see here is its head and one body segment. It’s moving along fast and should be done in time.
Well, that’s it. The brain pan is now empty.
