In just a few days, the babies have grown fur! I now see that there are three white and one brown hamsters. Their eyes aren't even open yet, but at least one feels he is ready to leave the nest. I just happened to look in the cage and saw this little one running away from home. I can't be sure, but this might be a boy. (Boys have pointy-er rear ends than girls.)
Uh-oh! Looks like Mom's not happy. That's quite a beat down! Shortly after this, another baby (probably the same one) crawled out of the nest and got beat down again. Kids. They never learn.
